Starting up again, May 2019

I'm starting a new blog!! It's been awhile. since I've blogged.   I now have a new to me RV and a different black lab.  Check out my previous blog Sadieshouseonwheels.blogspot.com.
Raven is my 2 1/2 year old "wild child" black lab and co-pilot.  Her favorite spot is the passenger seat of the  Winnebago View, is super friendly to people and other creatures and loves to travel!!

This spring I decided to join up with the WINs again.  In case you are new to my blog the WINs,
aka Wandering Individual Network, is a singles RV travel club run by volunteers who put together circuits though out the US.  There are several to chose from this summer and  I  have chosen to travel the West/Northwest circuit which will last from May through October.

The circuit started out at Panguitch, Utah and the highlight was Bryce Canyon National Park.  I left Reno late so was not able to join up until the last day and missed Bryce.  Our next stop was  BLM land just east of Torrey, Utah which is just a few miles from Capitol Reef National Park. Before getting to Torrey, I had to make a quick detour to Freemont River Veterinarian.  Raven was really sick but the vet was able to fix her up!  I'm not sure what she got into but it was nasty.  Our time time at Capital Reef was short....way too short so I will definitely be returning some day.

Capital Reef National Park, May 15-19.  I parked in dispersed camping off Highway 24 and Beas Lewis Flat road. I couldn't asked for a better space; although I would have like for the weather to been nicer.  It was windy and at times it rained and there was even some snow.  Some of the group did a Jeep trip through Cathedral Valley.  I passed, as dogs were not allowed and it was going to be an all day trek and Raven was just mending.

So how did Capitol Reef National Park get its name. The dome looks like the original capitol before it burned down, and "reef" suggests that it is hard to get too.

I had the perfect site!
Panoramic views of Capitol Reef National Park
 Lots of wild flowers
